- South Carolina Attorney General Daniel McLeod speaking. Says he disagrees with the findings of Presidential Commission inquiry into the "civil disorders of 1967," which he feels unfairly "blame the white race for the difficulties that have ensued." Says that except for one event, there have been no charges of police brutality against South Carolina in last decade. This is likely a response to the Report of the National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders, also known as the Kerner Report, released on February 29, 1968.
