- Scenes from May 11, 1970, when a group of University of South Carolina students took over the administration building and National Guard troops were deployed on campus. The Board of Trustees were meeting in the building to hear cases of students arrested for a sit-in at the Russell House the previous week. Footage includes: people standing outside the building. Reporter interviews a person inside the building through a window about the extent of the damage done to the treasurer's office. People walking in streets. National Guard troops gathered outside building, people shouting as tensions seem to rise. Indoor scenes of of people cleaning up damage inside the building. Interviews with students about the possibility of closing the university. Scenes of National Guard troops standing, unloading vehicles.
