- Biography:
- Author, historian, and attorney known for his lifelong commitment to the cause of civil rights. After a two-year tour of duty in the United States, he began law school at the University of Arkansas (UA) in Fayetteville (Washington County). He obtained his JD degree and took his first job with the Center for Arkansas Legal Services in Little Rock (Pulaski County). Starting in 2002, Stockley worked for fifteen months at the Disability Rights Center before becoming the first staff attorney for the Arkansas branch of the American Civil Liberties Union. -- Encyclopedia of Arkansas History & Culture WWW site.
