- Biography:
- Florida civil rights activist and educator, Moore founded the Brevard County NAACP and the Florida State Conference of the NAACP, filed a suit for equal pay for black and white teachers, and advocated for victims of lynching and police brutality. On December 25, 1951, a bomb exploded at his home, killing him and his wife Henriette.
