- Ford Greene, 17 in 1961, integrated Georgia Tech along with Lawrence Williams and Ralph Long, Jr. September, 1961 after graduating from Turner High School in Atlanta where he excelled in academics and athletics, turning down scholarships to other colleges to attend Tech. He later transfered to another institution to complete his degree. After a career with IBM, Greene is president and chief operating officer of United Communications Systems International in McLean, Va.
