- Biography:
- Boyte became the first white employee of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1963. He worked for the American Red Cross from 1942 to 1959. He chaired the Greater Atlanta Council on Human Relations. In 1961, he became the Southern Director for the Unitarian Service Committee. We worked in Charlotte , North Carolina with Robert F. Williams and ran schools for African American students in Prince Edward County, Virginia in 1962. He retired in 1966.
