The site includes lesson plans on the history and nature of social movements ranging from the African American Civil Rights movement in the United States to ecological efforts worldwide. The site provides segments from interviews with more than fifty "Veterans of Hope," religious leaders, activists, artists, and educators., The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
