Description
Web site using properties listed in the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places to enliven history, social studies, geography, civics, and other subjects. Teaching with Historic Places has created a variety of products and activities that help teachers bring historic places into the classroom. Civil Rights-related lesson plans cover topics such as Brown vs. Board of Education, Chicago's African American community, and information about historic places in the Civil Rights movement., The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
