- A throng of people from the neighborhood at Twenty-first and Harding streets in Indianapolis gather around Kennedy during a campaign stop shortly before Primary Election Day on May 7. That day Kennedy visited a number of African American precincts in the city accompanied by such famous black athletes as Lumar Lundy of the Los Angeles Rams, Timmy Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Herb Adderly of the Green Bay Packers.
