Joining Mayor William Hudnut in the groundbreaking ceremonies from the left: Mayor Hudnut, Floyd Stone, president of M.E.D.I.C., the local neighborhood association; Rudy Hightower, director of the Indianapolis Housing Authority; State Representative Bill Crawford, Rev. Mozel Sanders, and Martha Lamkin, area director for the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
