- Article addresses how Vancouver is one of the most integrated cities of its size in the United States. On January 3, 1958 Vancouver became the first city in Washington to secure special mortgage insurance to finance 150 units of low-cost private housing (Section 221 FHA mortgage insurance.) The City of Vancouver working to integrate neighborhoods and keep some of its 2000-4000 persons who live in Vancouver but work in Oregon, in Vancouver. Article is the second in a two part series.
