- Description:
- An editorial appearing in the Columbian Newspaper written by David L. Baugh of the Vancouver Branch of the NAACP. The opinion piece responds to a previous editorial entitled "They must learn to take care of property," which Baugh describes as supporting a narrow point of view towards race and human relations. Baugh addresses the need to go beyond justifying hatred and to instead put energy towards correcting destructive behavior perpetrated by people of all races. Baugh criticizes the author of the editorial as using a local incident for a platform to affirm evil and hatred towards other races.
