- Clara Terrell discusses how her great grandfather migrated to Utah with Brigham Young. Terrell talks about the kinds of employment available to her family and other African Americans in Utah and Idaho. She mentions her family's work on the railroads and farming. Terrell describes the kinds of social activities and organizations in which African American individuals participated. She also discusses race segregation and rent discrimination. The transcript includes a two page tape summary of the interview.
