- Announces: "Meet us Thursday December 10th, 10:00AM to caravan to Dow Chemical’s office at 777 106th N.E., Bellevue, for a rally at 11:00 A.M." Calls for: "Stand up in support of the only non-violent leader this country has left!" Background information: Between December 10-24, 1970, Cesar Chavez was jailed in Salinas, California for refusing to obey a court order to stop the boycott against Bud Antle lettuce. ( From Cesar E.
