- Carbon copy of a typewritten letter from Dr. Israel Zwerling to President Lyndon B. Johnson, dated August 10, 1964, in which Zwerling appeals to Johnson for justice for murdered civil rights workers James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner. He also requests continued federal protection for civil rights workers in Mississippi, and expresses particular concern for his son, Matthew, who is involved in voter registration work in Marks, Mississippi.
