- From the Ellin (Joseph and Nancy) Freedom Summer Collection; The newsletter of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), this issue of the Voice (Vol. 6, no. 6; formerly titled the "Student Voice") is dated December 20, 1965. Includes an article about the recent elections for the committee of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS), the result of which was the election of 75 African-American farmers and sharecroppers in Mississippi. Despite these victories, there were charges of irregularities in the voting practices. Other topics include the Poor Peoples' Corporation and the formation a new African-American political group, the Lowndes County Freedom Organization.
