- Black and white photograph of crowd at a lunch counter during the Chattanooga sit-ins of February 1960. This was taken on the second day of protests at Woolworth's when white students attempted to fill seats at the lunch counter before the Howard High School students arrived. In the foreground, young white men sat with their backs to the counter, a few of them looked toward the camera. In the middle of the counter sat a group of African American students. They read newspapers and talked. Workers behind the counter appeared to be cleaning, and signs indicating that the counter was closed are visible. A group of older African American males stood a few feet behind the students at the counter. A police officer stood as well. The name "Wilson" is written on the back referring to the photographer, likely Delmont Wilson of the Chattanooga News-Free Press.
