- Black and white photograph of a large group of African American students gathered in protest during the Chattanooga sit-ins of February 1960. This photo was taken on the third day of protests after police pushed the Howard High School students to the African American downtown district near the Lindsay and 9th Street junction. The group consists mostly of males but a few females were present. Two policemen visible in the lower-left of the photograph. The group appears to be crossing from one side of a street to the other. The stores on the side of the street that they are crossing to are a little blurry, but the ones that can be read include a jeweler, a liquor store, and Atlanta Life. The name "Wilson" is written on the back referring to the photographer, likely Delmont Wilson of the Chattanooga News-Free Press.
