Brochure promotes Monitor South's plan to stop media and magazines from delivering "false" news about the South by way of economic boycotts. a(2) Press Release: "Huntley-Brinkley Silenced on Race Jabs, Says Monitor South" Details actions by Monitor South against Chet Huntley and Huntley's response. b1, 2) "Darr Voids Ideas Of School Board On Desegregation" Details U.S. District Judge Leslie Darr's decision that the submitted Chattanooga school board's desegregation plan is unacceptable and would need to be revised. Undated newspaper clipping. c1, 2, 3) "Minister Says 'Freedom Riders' Sought To Stir Show of 'Raw Hate'" Details a program sponsored by the Council for Cooperative Action and NAACP featuring Rev. C. T. Vivian, a "freedom rider" who was incarcerated in Jackson Mississippi. Contains direct quotes from speech. A photograph of participants is included.
