- Letter written February 29, 1956 to Edmund Orgill, mayor of Memphis, Tennessee. The anonymous letter was written in response to Mayor Orgill's request for citizen comment on putting an African American on the board of John Gaston Hospital. The unnamed citizen accuses Orgill of being a "Negro lover" and reminds him that there is still a Ku Klux Klan presence in Memphis.
