- Description:
- In this wide ranging speech, Blatt expresses pride in his Jewish heritage and in the contributions of Jews to American society. He also discusses the state of the economy. Most importantly, Blatt discussed civil rights for African Americans. He did not believe there was a problem concerning race relations in South Carolina, and that African Americans faced no disadvantages relating to political or economic advancement. He also warned his audience not to let the Jewish experience in World War II lead them to join the fight for civil rights for African Americans.
