- Sol Blatt looks back on his career in the State House of Representatives and highlights his accomplishments during his time as Speaker. In this speech, Blatt express his views on issues of race, saying that he is "proud to live in a state where no longer a man's religious views, political affiliation or the color of his skin in anywise prevent him from walking the road of life to a distance far beyond that he expected in the years gone by." He also praises "the blacks for their dedication to the whole of the state."
