- Folder 8 of Records of the South Carolina Council on Human Relations collection contains administrative documents and general papers for the South Carolina Division of the Southern Regional Council (SC Division of the SRC) and other related organizations from November 3-October 27, 1947. This folder contains an extensive letter drafted by Alice Norwood Spearman Wright to James McBride Dabbs covering amendments to the SC Division of the SRC's by-laws on incorporating affiliate organizations, her position as Executive Secretary, and a possible agenda for an upcoming meeting. Other correspondence concern the creation of local branches of the SC Division of the SRC in Anderson and Charleston, South Carolina. There is also a response from R.B. Marston, Director of the Legislative-Federal Relations Division, to Wright. Also found in this folder is a copy of a letter sent out to a prospective member of the Education Committee with a list of the local committee members and details on the recent issues they are working on.
