- Folder 7 of Records of the South Carolina Council on Human Relations collection contains administrative documents and general papers for the South Carolina Division of the Southern Regional Council (SC Division of the SRC) and other related organizations from September 2-October 27, 1947. Most of the documents in this folder are correspondence from Alice Norwood Spearman Wright discussing State Division committee work, financial matters, and outreach. In a letter to Senator William Jennings Bryan Dorn, South Carolina Representative, she requests information on a Senate bill (S.472) distributing federal aid to states for school funding. Wright also requests more information and guidance on how to gain more interest among Christians in the Baptist Denomination and other denominations. There is also correspondence between Wright and James McBride Dabbs on the work and goals of committees and their chairmen.
