Description:: Folder 3 of Records of the South Carolina Council on Human Relations collection contains administrative documents and general papers from May 7, 1946-February 28, 1947. This folder contains a special announcement stating the local South Carolina Committee has become a State Division of the Southern Regional Council, or what was then known as the South Carolina Division of the Southern Regional Council (SC Division of the SRC). Many of the documents concern garnering interest from influential organizations and people for the South Carolina Division of the Southern Regional Council (SC Division of the SRC). Some documents address solving inequities in education. Several correspondence in this folder concern the organization of this new council and the efforts to promote and advertise the SC Division of the SRC. In some correspondence there is also mention of a manual being written by Dr. Guy B. Johnson for police officers on human relations.
