- This folder consists largely of correspondence, from January 2 to February 24, 1949, between Southern Regional Council (SRC) members and their colleagues and covers topics, like human rights, program committee involvement and discussion topics, and general SRC chapter and sub-committee updates. The contents include communication between Alice Norwood Spearman Wright, James McBride Dabbs, J. P. Coates, J. Kenneth Morris, James M. Hinton, George S. Mitchell, and more. This folder also contains documents, like a pamphlet of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. There is also a copy of the H.R. 2270 Bill, which was “to make unlawful the transportation or importation of false and defamatory statements designed to arouse intergroup conflict.”
