- Folder 6 of Records of the South Carolina Council on Human Relations collection contains administrative documents and general papers from June 2-August 22, 1947. Lengthy correspondence between and from Alice Norwood Spearman Wright and James McBride Dabbs deal with the South Carolina Division of the Southern Regional Council (SC Division of the SRC) committee work and organization. On June 19, 1947, there was a large Planning conference for the SC Division of the SRC, and some of the correspondence found in this folder are members confirming attendance or Alice Norwood Spearman Wright appealing to their committee interests in order to persuade them to attend. There is a letter from the Southern Regional Council Secretary-Treasurer, Agnes McKoy to Spearman stating the renewal of the organization's status as tax-exempt. There is also a draft open letter and flyer that appeals to active SC Division of the SRC members for more funding to pay Alice Norwood Spearman Wright to be the executive secretary of the SC Division of the SRC.
