- A report on South Carolina from James T. McCain to Shirley, Ronnie and Marvin for June 1969. He introduces a new program they started for South Carolina called "Know your County Government." As part of the program they are urging black leaders and grass-roots people to attend their local governmental meetings to better understand how those agencies function, the people in charge and their respective jobs, and a general overview of the social and political agencies and their functions. He continues with an update on state schools and progress on voter registration in counties across the state. Included are newspaper clippings announcing appointees picked for various Clarendon County boards, free lunches for school children, a voter registration drive in Laurens County, a list of elected officials and appointed board members and members of commissions, and a memo from the Williamsburg Voters League on the topic of evaluation for the new year
