- Project T-Square was a project initiated to help people learn occupational skills, literacy and arithmetic in order to give the people of South Carolina a chance for an education, a good job, and better pay. In this paper prepared by the South Carolina Economic Opportunity Board, Inc., they advocate that in order to put forth their maximum effort in locating citizens in need of training to join the work force, they must provide allowances for the trainee to take care of himself or his dependents while undergoing said training. The paper outlines the different levels of allowance a trainee could be eligible for as part of Project T-square.
