- Description:
- An affidavit given and signed by Annie Gibson. In her statement Gibson is referencing a 'Separate but Equal' petition signed in 1949 by more then 120 people in the home of Harry and Eliza Briggs. Gibson goes on to say that pressure from the white community caused many of the people to remove their names from the petition. Gibson also states she lost her job because she signed the petition. This affidavit was given many years after the event occurred.
