- Letter from William Saunders, Director of the Committee for Better Racial Assurance (COBRA) in Charleston, South Carolina, to Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr. in Hollis, Long Island, New York promising to bring up DeLaine's case at an upcoming Board Meeting with the Governor's Advisory Commission on Human Relations. Saunders promises to do anything that is necessary to clear DeLaine's name and try to bring him back to South Carolina as a hero instead of a criminal. Saunders attaches summary of COBRA's activities, which is included separately in the collection.
