- Description:
- Letter to George W. Baber, bishop in the African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church, objecting to a decision to change the name of the DeLaine-Waring A.M.E. Church in Buffalo, New York, to St. Matthew A.M.E. Church. The author explains that the name is a memorial to African Americans in Clarendon County, South Carolina who suffered to secure equal educational opportunities for their children.
