Description:
Telegram sent November 29, 1955 from James L. Yong, New York State Commissioner of Civil Liberties in New York, New York, to Joseph A. DeLaine, also in New York City, requesting that DeLaine address a mammoth rally of the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World (IBPOE of W) to protest Southern injustices.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
