- Description:
- Letter from J. Waties Waring, a retired United States District Judge living in New York, New York, to Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., also of New York, New York, regarding the New York Times report, which was reprinted in the Charleston, South Carolina News and Courier of Waring's speech at Randall Presbyterian Church in New York on DeLaine's courage and tenacity in fighting segregation. Waring details errors in report that were immaterial but "the White Supremacists seem to make much of them."
