DeLaine states he is unable to attend the interviews at Summerton High School on June 18, 1948 because he is enrolled in the Benedict-Allen Summer school program and he cannot miss more than five days. DeLaine also reports that Carrie Martin and Rowena Oliver are unable to attend the interviews.
