- Letter from attorney Harold R. Boulware of Columbia, South Carolina, to Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., of Summerton, South Carolina, agreeing that DeLaine might lose his teaching position if he attended Boulware's February 27, 1948 meeting with Clarendon County School Board. Boulware requests that Levi Pearson attend the meeting instead. DeLaine's handwritten annotations note after the meeting, the school board discharged Mr. A. M. Anderson, who had been principal of Scott's Branch School for eighteen years.
