- Speech made by Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., in Summerton, South Carolina, at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church to members of the Clarendon County, South Carolina branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). In the speech, DeLaine traces how the Clarendon County NAACP branch and others plotted to improve the educational experience of African American students in the county. This speech duplicates another in the collection.
