- Program from the August 6, 1974 funeral services for Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., held at Greater Bethel African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The program includes an obituary and a reprint of a New York Times article by Judith Cummings on the twentith anniversary celebration of the United States Supreme Court decision in the 1954 case Brown v. Board of Education. The program also outlines DeLaine's role in the Clarendon County, South Carolina school segregation case, also known as Briggs v. Elliott.
