- Petition from Harry Briggs, et al. to the Board of Trustees for School District Number 22 in Clarendon County, South Carolina, regarding inadequate and unhealthy school facilities for African American students in the district. Petitioners include members of the Briggs, Henry, and Brown families and lawyers Henry Boulware of Columbia, South Carolina, and Thurgood Marshall of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. The full copy included in the collection was provided by the South Carolina Department of Archives and History.
