- Letter from Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr. of Hollis, Long Island, New York to Roy Wilkins, Executive Secretary of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the NAACP Board of Directors in New York, New York regarding the struggles of Harry Briggs, Sr. and his family as a result of NAACP legal battles. DeLaine requests that the NAACP provide financial assistance to Briggs' family to relocate in New York. DeLaine's letter accompanies a petition from Calvary African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church.
