- Description:
- Photo (Summerton, S.C.) of additions to Scott's Branch School. The building on the left was erected at the Scott's Branch School in an effort to argue that the Negro School (Scott's Branch) was equal to the local white High School. It was erected in the 1949-1950 school year and first used by school in the 2nd semester of the school year. The brick building at right is the gymnasium. It was built in 1952 in a real effort to improve the school situation.
