De Laine, Sr. (Summerton, S.C.) inviting De Laine to meet with Thurgood Marshall and staff in Columbia, S.C., 12 Mar. 1949 to map out plans for our school action; [DeLaine's] handwritten note lists those present at initial meeting and describes subsequent meetings, such as that at St. Mark A.M.E. Church, where the parents promised Rev. De Laine they would go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court if he lead the way.
