- Description:
- Two page press release dated June 3, 1969 that reports complaints against ministerial assignments set by Methodist bishop Paul Hardin, Jr. at a recent state conference. The complaints assert that Hardin's removal of Reverend Theodore R. Frierson from the position of district superintendent was motivated by racism and vindictiveness, and that his actions will thwart progress made from the merging of African American and white Methodist conferences. The press release ends with a list of damages caused by Hardin's actions.
