- Eight pages of a typewritten speech delivered around 1980 to the James R. Clark Memorial Sickle Cell Foundation. The speech cautions against the elimination of funding for federal programs that provide health and social services for the poor. The speech also advocates the vigorous enforcement of civil rights laws and support for initiatives that promote economic justice, fair employment, voting rights, fair housing, and gender equality.
