- Three page sworn statement of Cloretha Bryant, dated May 23, 1960. The statement recalls an incident on May 14, 1960, where three police officers harassed and beat Cloretha Bryant and her children; the police also arrested her husband. The Bryants were African American farmers living just outside of Saint George, South Carolina.
