- Description:
- Protestors at the State House. Southern Christian Leadership Conference officials and protestors are demanding an investigation into the death of Mickey McClinton of Chester. McClinton, a Black youth, was killed after being hit by a car, an event which investigators declared an accident. But protestors believe he was murdered for dating a white woman. SCLC leaders and protestors also have other grievances about equality in employment, housing, public school meals, SLED investigations, and the use of bloodhounds. The speaker is not identified but may be Golden Frinks, a protest organizer.
