- Description:
- Protestors at the State House. Southern Christian Leadership Conference officials and protestors are demanding an investigation into the death of Mickey McClinton of Chester. McClinton, a Black youth, was killed after being hit by a car, an event which investigators declared an accident. But protestors believe he was murdered for dating a white woman. SCLC leaders and protestors also have other grievances about equality in employment, housing, public school meals, and SLED investigations and the use of bloodhounds.
