- Description:
- Jailed civil rights activist Cleveland Sellers hosts a press conference after his release from prison. Sellers was jailed for 7 months for rioting for his involvement in organizing protests at South Carolina State College in 1968. These protests turned violent when State Highway and National Guardsmen fired on students who had gathered on the campus of South Carolina State College. Sellers was the only person charged, despite the deaths of 3 students by officers. At the press conference he calls on Governor West to address the concealment of the truth about the incident.
