- Students gather outside the Russell House on the University of South Carolina campus during a protest led by students angry that non-students have been barred from entering the Russell House student activity center. The Russell House was being used as a temporary site for the UFO Coffee House after another location was closed for inciting disturbances. South Carolina Highway Patrol were called to the campus to enforce the non-student policy.
