- Oral history in which Willa Player discusses race relations in Greensboro in throughout the 1950s and early 1960s, including the role of specific African Americans and white citizens. She describes the participation of Bennett College students in demonstrations in 1960 and 1963, her support of students incarcerated at the polio hospital, the position of Dr. Lewis Dowdy and other area university administrators and faculty, and her participation in particular marches and boycotts. Other notable topics include the visits of Eleanor Roosevelt and Martin Luther King Jr. to campus.
